The local populace of a small Norfolk village called Fennel-upon-stoat have claimed to have found a post box that can talk. ' We only got one post box in the village' explained local inhabitant Jed Strange ' last week it just so happened that post box started talking to us'.
Strange and fellow villagers were clearly perplexed by this unusual occurence and were at the end of what wits they possessed on trying to work out what it was all about ' we've seen some odd sights in the village over the years but this beats them all ' commented Strange ' the weirdest thing is that no sooner had the post box started talking it was the exact same time our local post man Jim Roberts disappeared and all that remains of him is his van with the back doors open and a bag of half filled mail lying on the ground in front of the post box'.
When it was put to him that the talking post box was in fact a trapped postman yelling for somebody to let him out, Strange countered it by saying ' that would be to obvious wouldn't it. People may think that we're all a bunch of inbred tossers round here but we're not that daft'.
After ten minutes of insisting that there was someone stuck in the letter box, Jed was forced to admit ' it might explain all the bad language coming from it and all the cries of get me out of here you inbred tossers. Talking post box or not that language was enough to make the vicar blush'.
Mystery apparently solved.
