The curse associated with the film 'Some Like it Hot' has claimed its third major victim this morning. Tony Curtis passed away suddenly aged 85 years young.
This comes hot on the heels of the deaths of the two other leading stars of the film, Jack Lemmon and Marilyn Monroe [size 14-16].
Other actors who starred in the film have also died - George Raft , Pat O'Brian and even the director, Billy Wilder .
Hollywood is full of 'strange coincidences' but this has certainly spooked many observers. A remake in 2003 - 'Some Like It Hotter'- was shelved after many stars refused to be in it for fear that some of them may not live to see 100.
Hollywood has confirmed that's why so many sequels are made.
"Once you shoot a film and no one associated with it dies, then it's far safer to stick with the franchise and to keep on making a similar film, which gets steadily worse until it's been milked for all it's worth."
