The unfortunate death of the owner of the ACME business was blamed today on his ACME electric scooter, which refused to carry on in a straight line across a river after leaving the top of the cliff embankment, and instead fell due to the forces of gravity into the river below. It is believed the owner may have somehow become aware of his precarious position and, at that point, gravity took over.
A spate of similar accidents in the US over the last fifty years have lead to calls for safety warnings to be added to remind users not to look down when they drive over the edge of cliffs.
