The Catholic Church has launched a class action suit against more than 100 religions, sects, denominations and cults to prevent them using 'God' to describe their products and services.
It says the use of 'God' by other religions might cause confusion among customers.
The Catholic Church has filed a 777-page legal brief with the Vatican supreme court.
In an exclusive interview with NewsBiscuit.com, the Pope said: "We had to take action against these upstart organisations to protect our intellectual property. Our shareholders simply won't sit still while our trademark rights are trampled."
When asked whether he shouldn't just turn the other cheek, he replied: "Are you havin' a laugh?"
