Finding love is a tough task for the working professional, and it was for this reason that Emma Didsbury entered into the seedy world of internet sex chatrooms. The successful solicitor worked five nights a week in front of a webcam in her own bedroom in the hope that the next customer might be her dream man. So when Emma got talking to a quiet, thoughtful and charmingly pensive man from Sunderland, it appeared she had struck gold. The couple spoke night after night for several weeks, and Emma even worked on her days off just to see her dashing beau. However, the budding QC was left heartbroken when her Prince Charming turned into toad, and admitted he was just in it for the sex.
‘He told me everything I wanted to hear, whispered heavy-breathed sweet nothings and just wanted to see me bouncing with joy’. But the inflated condom of unbridled joy was burst when the man, who preferred to be called ‘Mr. John’, ended their steamy affair when he refused to commit.
‘At first we were both so excited. We just couldn’t wait to rip our own clothes off. Sometimes I was so nervous I couldn’t even take take off my own bra. Then out of no-where he calls it off. He told me that things were moving too fast, and then too slow and that there were too many times that he said he just couldn’t see it happening. He said he didn’t want anything serious or long term. Or at least no longer than 15 minutes.’
Undaunted, Emma has vowed that she will not give up her unorthodox search until she has found her Romeo, ‘I just know that the perfect man is just waiting to come on the screen. I would ask one of the guys in my office, but they're all such wankers.’
