Not just 10 in the top 10, but alexc's only written 10 subs. Now that's what i call a batting average.

Shame about the all the 'coincidental' new accounts made around the same time, and the potential vote inflation causing the ten-in-ten, as the work is all pretty good and stands up for itself without such shenanigans.

Unless, of course, there's been a sudden mass-hysteria-based surge in positive voting from the cognoscenti? Damn, best get writing something half-decent for once in my life just in case!!

Or there are ten people called alexc. It is, however, nice to have paranoid vote-rigging conspiracy theories confirmed just for once.

The fact that the pattern of my articles had already been predicted by The Sun is purely coincidental

And thanks for the envelope, by the way. Quite sufficient.

"The current Writers' Room Top Ten - As voted for by you (and some other people)"
This is what is says at the top of the Top 10 page. At least it will be true when alexc reads it, even if it omits the words 'you may have invented' after the other people bit. Hopefully he will get over this hijacking the top 10 phase quite soon, put his ego to one side and settle in a bit. It's not cricket. Oh on second thoughts...

It's certainly a novel way to make an entrance. Much better than the 'Why oh why does no one love my writings as much as I? Oh, woe, WOE is me.' sort of bouncey flouncey approach.

Hats off to the bloke for some much needed originality.

May I be the first to welcome you on board and hope you enjoy the honeymoon period as later I will be stabbing you in the back just when you think you have been accepted into the fold.
    Bastard.
Definitely male - lives within the M25 - probably Surrey - is in journalism - maybe originally from the Lancashire area

Used the American spelling of foetus as a disguise, I notice.

Agree about the journalism connection. Relatively snappy intros.

Not sure. Alex is a busy little scribbler over on 'other' news satire sites. Same material an' all.

I think the posts are top notch, but are hindered by the fact that many of them have already been published on The Spoof. That isn't a bad thing at all, but they aren't going to get published on here for that very reason. I don't think that that is the point though...
