At the end of the ceremony, for which the Holy Pontiff wore silver platform boots, he led the congregation in a rousing rendition of "Do You Wanna Be In My Gang". The chants of "Leader, Leader" continued for a full twelve minutes after the end of the 'hymn'.
For an encore the assembled Bishops and Priests from all over the United Kingdom stood up as one and wowed the multitude with a very moving version of "Do You Wanna Touch Me?" accompanied by some lovely dancing from the altar boys of Westminster Cathedral. "It was very emotional" reported Sister Mary Arthur of West Wycombe, "it brought a lump to my throat." Father Patrick O'Kilburn of Cricklewood agreed, "it brought a lump to my trousers too."
