A demo track by new rock band The Noise of Colour called 'Because My 2011 Ford Fiesta is cool', was released on Sony Music earlier today, as part of the industry's drive to close a financial gap created by file-sharers, and CD-sharers.
The first verse has been supplied by the band,
"I really like this girl,
she wears stuff from Gap,
and DKNY make her hat,
She smells of Chanel No.5,
And drives a Mazda9,
Surely, she can be mine?"
The song wil cost £2.99 per verse, and will install a file on your comuter, MP3 player, or phone that will enable the lyrics to auto-change every time you listen.
Apple will sell the track a line at a time for £0.79.
Industry insiders repsonded well, with focus groups saying they loved the track.
Sony's next venture will be to sue drivers for playing music that sifts out of open windows.
