Morrissey, the writer of songs such as ‘November Spawned a Monster’ has come out in support of troubled and allegedly-too-horny Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey when speaking to Germany’s Der Spiegel newspaper.
‘The current climate of allegations of sexual assault and harassment is causing all manner of panic in the streets of London as well as most major conurbations,’ he said, ‘If someone were to ask me if I thought this was a bad thing I wouldn’t say no, how could I? The allegations against Kevin Spacey seem to be largely of misunderstood signals and clumsy advances. When it comes to allegations of performing sexual acts, It doesn’t sound to me like much of a case of bigmouth striking again.’
It appears that Morrissey also recently visited the Isle of Wight as he was quoted as saying, ‘Frankly, when I was recently in Shanklin and enjoying a few drinks there I realised that all the recent stories about Kevin Spacey and others was just depressing. I sought refuge in more pints of lager and, for around an hour or so I was happier. But heaven knows how I feel now. I blame Jimmy Saville for starting all this, and it is just typical that it didn’t end there. If only we had hanged that bloody disc jockey. Then again, what difference would it have made?’
The singer is reported to have reacted to recent allegations against former US president Bill Clinton by saying that they were ‘really nothing’ and that, after he makes an earnest visit to his partner in hospital, he is planning to get away from the glare of the media for at least a month of Sundays.
