MrChigley'sAunt, I salute your honesty and bravery. I feel I can now stand tall and say, actually, they don't do anything for me either.
If I had to choose, I'd be a Stones gal every time.Posted 3 years ago # -
Wallster - how did the parachuting go?

When I was a child I used to play on a Space Invaders machine at Michael Ashcroft's house. This was before he sold it to Billy Connolly, who proceeded to whitewash the 18th century wooden beams.

I like the idea of an 18th Century invaders game. The moveable gun would have been a muzzle loaded cannon - we stood no chance!

Edward, parachuting was a 'gift' from Mrs Wallster for my 40th. A day's training then I could throw myself out of a plane and land on my arse in a corn field. Great fun. Did it 3 times before my training expired. I'd recommend it to anyone with strong knees.

Nope, I don't like the Beatles and neither does Mrs MrChigleysAunt - and she's Liverpudlian. Don't tell anyone, or I'll probably find her up on bricks in the car park tomorrow morning.

Why would anyone whitewash a Space Invaders machine (whatever that is)?

My God, next thing you know people will be saying Bob Dylan's voice is going. Honestly.

I tried to break the mold of stand up comedy intros by asking the audience "has anyone here been shagged up the arse by a catholic priest?"
Sadly, the punch line "No one here from my old school then" was drowned out by booing.
And some bloke furiously clanging a gong

That's excellent, ronseal. You should have had a round of applause just for the audacity.
To reinforce the factiness of this thread:
I was almost swallowed by a whale shark last year.

I went to the same primary school as Sean Connery, and John Leslie, and the same secondary school as not one, but two Bay City Rollers.
I can understand you admiring the Rubettes LP Mr Hack "Sugar Baby love" will always be my second favourite single. Both are FACTPosted 3 years ago # -
Yay!! V.Will, another one of us! (East Coaster I mean). Was through in your native City last week for a wee game of rugby. Still my most favourite city in the world.

I do love Edinburgh, though I live in far of Devon now, as a lad I wanted to be a Royal Mile tour guide when I grow up, I will have to see what happens when I do.

I've always said that when I win the lottery, I'm going to buy one of the Georgian Terraced houses in the New Town, having stayed at Tigerlily in George Street a few times. I love Dundee, and am proud of where I live, but the variety of everything in Edinburgh is fantastic. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.

1) I was on Blue Peter when I was 11 because my school choir was singing to the Pope - and I have the Blue Peter Badge to prove it (fat lot of fecking use it has been - tried to use it once to get into Chessington World of Adventures and they wouldn't accept it).
2) Emma Bunton once stole some cheese from my husband.
3) I once had to go on a date with a five-foot man for a feature I was writing. When we hugged farewell at the end of the night, he head-butted my boobs.Posted 3 years ago # -
mary, that emma bunton is a notorious cheese stealer. do be careful.

I once had to go on a date with a five-foot man for a feature I was writing.
There's a whole bunch of questions posed by that statement. Being stupidly lofty, I find short men funny- am I correct in thinking that your feature is evidence that women find them mirthsome?
