In an effort to cut down on fuel costs, Nottingham NHS Trust has decided that all ambulances will be equipped with their own vulture
A spokesman quoted "Our biggest fuel costs come in the mad dash back to the hospital, so this small change will make a huge difference to the budget. We aim to expand this service to OAP homes, mental institutions, prisons and council estates
The intention is that at any incident where the patient is either dead or has less than a 10% chance of survival, they will leave the vulture to finish off the victim, thus saving on bird food and fuel"
The RSPB vehemently oppose this move as they feel that the vultures will become overweight and lose the natural urge to scavenge
