Former host of 'Jim'll fix it' Sir Jimmy Saville categorically denied today of any conluding with the Pakistani cricket team over match fixing. Saville is alledged to have had contact from an unknown source claiming to be a representive of the Pakistan Cricket Team which was in the form of a letter which went as follows
' Dear Jim'll Fix it, please could you fix all the summer test matches against England to result in a three one defeat and for several of our bowlers to bowl several dodgy no balls in the process'
Sir Jimmy acknowledged receiving the letter but thought it was a mistakenly sent as the show had finished nearly thirty years ago. ' I did have a good South African friend of mine called a certain Mr Hanse Cronje who could have helped but as he and the show are now dead I was unable to help with his request' said the silver haired charity raising old fixer ' I don't care how many posh cars and restaurant sittings they offer me, I say a no is a no young man'.
Rumours of the link with Sir Jimmy were further fueled as the real reason for the presentation ceremony being kept under wraps after the last test match was because of the fact that the Pakistan team were being presented Jim'll fix it badges instead of losers medals.
