   My school had ideas above its station and I did fencing for PE some terms (it was indoors, didn't involve wearing just pants like swimming, finished early) yet it didn't do me any good. And despite what I'd been led to believe, whenever I've had a moody widescreen telly to sell in the pub it's been no help whatsoever.

   Ah, I wouldn't expect an innocent flower such as you to be aware of the slang of London's criminal underworld, sauce. Let's just say you might be a bit moody too if you'd been half-inched off the back of a lorry and hidden in a rented garage by a grotty council estate too.

   Nothing pathetic about my fallacies. If only the same could be said for everything else. And speaking of spelling, I think I've missed a 'not' out of the FP writer's name. I hope that hasn't put too big a crimp in their day.
