I want you to know I Love you,
I want you to know I care,
I want you to feel my presence,
I want you to know I’m here.

I want you to know I have never felt this way,
A Love to nurture and share
A passion new, emotion unbound,
For a beauty intelligent and rare.

I want you to know I can commit,
And not waiver in any way,
I want you to know I’m yours, all yours,
You just have to say the day...

I want you know that I can wait,
I know you are still unsure,
The pressures on you are enormous,
I can make you pure.

You can take counsel from family and friends,
advice that comforts and conflicts,
I want you to know we can overcome,
what we can and cannot predict.

When it’s cold, I’ll keep you warm,
When you are blue, I’ll bring laughter
Whatever it takes to make it work
I’m here forever after.

I would love it if someone wrote me a poem - hasn't happened, all men are bastards etc - almost regardless of the words, just the love and the intention would be enough to make me swoon. Send it, make their day.

Delivery is important - I hope you're not going to email it. Here's a thought: SMS, verse by verse, i.e.: not all at once in a long trail of repeated lines, and not all on the same day. You then get a chance for the meanings to reveal themselves....and whoever it is can learn it by heart and not get the verses muddled up.

This is a Love poem from my collection:

How I wish I was a fly
Sitting on your knee, knee-high
Looking up at where to go
Not knowing if I ought to though..
[Some less immortal lines about imminent arrival at ... if memory serves..train stations or something....it was a long time ago.]
