...because this is a comedy and satire site and someone made a joke about something that no one else thought was funny or deserving of satire and I agreed with them.
Let's pretend it never happened and all cough and smile and carry on being polite and amusing.
I shall be completely ignoring the Chief Troll and his acolytes from now on, as he has resolutely ignored please to remove/apologise. No comments, no stars, de nada, nix. Since his posts all seems to be about craving attention, coupled to a complete lack of self-awareness or reflection, and some nasty "I'm alright Jack" views this is all I can think is left to me.
Correct decision Editor. Didn’t realize Titus had any acolytes; if something is funny and perceptive to you personally, you acknowledge it, regardless of who wrote it - I often 5-star posts to a wide range of writers without comment.
The starring system doesn’t seem to make much difference though, as the editor(s) usually select the posts which appeal to them most, more often than not the funniest and most deserving.
It amuses me slightly though, that Newsbiscuit has ‘guidelines’ for ‘creative’ writing. Surely the whole point of creativity is that there should be few (or preferably no) barriers.
Obviously the Newsbiscuit writers’ room is not only read by the posters and I have noticed quite a few angles being developed into the national and global mainstream media, even though not published as FPs, NIBs or Tickers.
Keep tickling my funnybone Newsbiscuit contributors and all my loving to the Nice Admin Lady.

Agreed with (practically) everyone else above, good call Editor. I'm sure some of us have made an inappropriate attempt at humour at some time - I know I made a poor joke about a similar situation a couple of years ago, but deleted it within 60 seconds when I'd had time to think about it. 6 hours elapsed and plenty of ignored hints to self censor kind of forced your hand, as I'm sure this site tries to avoid censorship in general.
There was a thread a few years ago called The Old Jokes Home. So I put an old joke on it, and this attracted so much outrage that I eventually suggested it should be taken down.
It was an old joke, and involved a coloured gentleman, but I still maintain it wasn't racist.
