As a defender of the gay he claimed such separation to be essential for good healthcare. In a world obsessed with sex it has long been overdue to separate people not by race but by sexual preference to allow peaceful cohabitation. On a local level we had an initiative to implement it in rural transport and following a recent questionnaire http://www.bedford.gov.uk/council_and_democracy/consultations/idoc.ashx?docid=6dd368e3-cd28-4fab-955c-b16804c56270&version=-1 we are planning to provide separate compartments for gays, lesbians and herterosexuals, especially on night services. What is good for rural transport has to be excellent for the NHS. Whilst separation by gender has been a long going standard in most hospitals the confusion of sexual fantasies about nurses has been a long standing issue. As the recent under the cover filming in a "rented" hospital ward revealed, it can be done. The next thing we will try is to separate the patients by other preferences, initially religion and party membership, but the separation by taste preference will be the ultimate saving for the NHS as is makes food supply much more efficient. We can then easily outsource supplies for the burger ward and the chicken wing before fully privatising the NHS
