The government has had to apologise today after one minister likened the cut in funding for domestic violence charities as a 'slap in the face'. No-one was available to comment but the minister in question issued the following statement, "I am extremely sorry for any upset caused. I have no idea what happened, I just said it in the heat of the moment and it will never happen again...promise".
There are calls for the minister to quit his post, however sources close to him are appealing for him to be given one more chance.
