By coming out with ridiculous statements like "If you’ve already made up your mind how to vote, good. I’m not campaigning – I don’t want to change it" he shows that he does not realise that in this contest it is essential that every commentator should loudly and vociferously try to dictate to everyone within earshot how they should vote, and energetically quote scary statistics (preferably spurious) showing what an utter disaster it will be if they vote the 'wrong' way.
Furthermore, his statements, such as "... there are no facts about what happens next. Anyone who tells you they KNOW what’ll happen if we leave the EU is a liar. Predicting exact numbers for economic, immigration or house price change is nonsense" will simply sew seeds of doubt in people's minds and force them to consider what factors are really important to them individually, whether this is economic prosperity, national sovereignty or any other aspect.
How can you respect anyone who, instead of confidently presenting absolutely definite speculative wild guesses and vigorously dictating how you absolutely must vote in order to avoid utter disaster, simply says "accept the need to wrestle with uncertainty"?
