The BBC is once again embroiled in scandal following the broadcast of an overly exited commentary during the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Bahrain at the weekend.
Commentator Jonathan Legard apologised unreservedly immediately after the race, saying; “There was a fantastic moment during the 35th lap when the two Lotus cars were line-astern, battling for 15th place. I was just overcome with the sheer beauty and the excitement of the spectacle.”
A BBC spokesman reported that three viewers were sufficiently awake to take note and complain.
