Julia Gillard the controversial leader of the Labour Party in Australia yesterday caused outrage when apparently she was overheard at a Barbie (an Australian version of a picnic) referring to the former Prime Minister, John Howard as 'dunderhead'!
A spokeswoman for Gillard, Sheile Ablright has denied the claims and states that Julia was simply mis-heard. "Julia was engaged in a conversation about the inclement weather with some close friends at a charity barbecue and happened to say that their may be thunder ahead, admittedly the timing wasn't great and there may be some confusion as this was about the same time as John Howard arrived!"
The Liberals declined to comment saying "It would be totally inappropriate for us to comment at this time, any comment would be unproductive and in all fairness self defeating, which would of course only give added mileage to the reason for any comment in the first place!", "it is well known across Australia that the use of the D word is the preserve of idiots and imbeciles as typically portrayed by that tosser Crocodile Dundee...".
