UKIP leader Nigel Farage has now decided to adopt the EU's model of 'Superior EU Democracy', a much fairer and more thorough system of decision-making than the limited, old fashioned version where, occasionally, people were simply asked to make a choice.
The EU Director of Democracy and Correct Decision Making, Mr Joe Seffgo-Bells, explained. 'The EU version of this is far more thorough. Rather than relying on just one election or referendum, we believe it is more thorough, much fairer and far more democratic to have lots of votes and many referendums, with people being allowed to vote repeatedly.'
'Obviously it would not be practical for this to be allowed to continue indefinitely, so a secretly appointed EU Democratic Decision Commission will review the result each time, and when this commission decides that a referendum has produced a satisfactory result, it will end the process and the open, fair, final, democratic and freely-decided result will be announced.'
'Obviously, there need to be safeguards, so if the Democratic Decision Commission decides that an incorrect decision has accidentally been allowed to stand, this secret Democratic Decision Commission will decide whether or not to allow it to be referred back to the Democratic Decision Commission for review. In the interests of efficient democracy, this process will, naturally, be carried out in secrecy by by unelected officials.'
