Sources within the MOD have confirmed that troops being pulled out of Iraq in 2011 are needed back in North Wales as further protection for Prince William.
It is understood the Prince has decided to live in a nearby cottage, rather than bunk down with the other trainees at RAF Shawcross on Anglesey. The decision means all troops returning from a tour of duty in Iraq will now be deployed immediately to North Wales to act as extra security for the young Royal.
'The cottage may seem an odd choice but the Prince is determined to go through with his training' said Wing Commander Nigel Giraud 'his dream is to make a valuable contribution to the fighting forces of this country, just like his father and uncles before him.
It is early days just yet but before long he hopes to be able to land an army helicopter on the putting green of an 18 hole golf course, just like his Uncle Andrew does'.
When asked if the terrorist threat from Al Qaida was really that great in this part of North Wales, Wing Commander Giraud replied
'On no, it's not Al Qaida we're worried about - it's the British taxpayer.
This staggering act of self indulgence is costing them £1.4m.
I am sure every one of them would like to get their hands round his neck and throttle him. Far more than the Taliban ever will.
We realise he would like to be close to his girlfriend.
But then wouldn't we all. I know I certainly would.
Why can't he just make do with a copy of Tatler and a five knuckle shuffle like the rest of us?
