For any americans (note the lower case) who don't understand irony.. well just get a life you burger eating freaks! </p> http://newsbiscuit.com/forum/topic.php?id=8782#post-23553 Tue, 20 Jul 2010 09:19:40 +0000 edward hack 23553@http://newsbiscuit.com/forum/ <p>Prime Minister David Cameron is to have talks with US President Barak Obama later today over the release of toxic gases from a chemical plant, formerly run by US Company Union Carbide.<br /> The release of 40 tons of deadly methyl isocyanate over the Indian town of Bhopal in 1984, killed around 15,000 people and left an estimated 500,000 affected by the incident.<br /> Although the gas was captured and put on trial in a foreign country, evidence removed from the crime scene proved beyond reasonable doubt that it was definitely one of the most notorious killers ever hunted by the American authorities.<br /> Nevertheless, after holding the gas for just a few months in a high security location just outside Bhopal, the Americans allowed its early release back into the local community with devastating effect and tragic loss of life.<br /> Although the company paid low levels of compensation to relatives of those who died in the fallout following the gas release, the incident still angers those survivors caught up in the tragedy.<br /> They insist the gas should never have been released from security and should have remained locked away under proper supervision where it could no longer pose a threat to the lives of innocent people.<br /> The Indian authorities are still seeking to extradite former Union Carbide head, Warren Anderson for his part in the outrage but US doctors insist he is no longer able to travel due to ill health.<br /> Anderson was diagnosed with cancer back in 1986 and was given just a few months to live.<br /> It is believed the two heads of state will unfortunately not be able to find time to discuss the BP oil spill due to an unusually busy schedule. </p>
