New technology is to be introduced that will reduce the “red-eye” effect in the photographic images used as evidence by police.</p> <p>An AA spokesman commented “It’s bad enough being caught speeding but to have photos passed around the court that make you look like a raving maniac is totally unnecessary in this day and age”.</p> <p>However, socialite Clara Farmer-Tomkins was less enthusiastic, saying; “This is a welcome improvement but I see it as just a start. Until the cameras give drivers warning, so that they can check their make-up and adopt a suitable pose, these cameras will continue to cause emotional carnage up and down the country”. </p>
