			<description>&#60;p&#62;Bored BBC1 fans today sought the privatisation of the BBC after the public broadcaster failed to emulate ITV in interrupting a World Cup game with adverts.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Fans were crying out for 90 minutes of tedium to be broken by a shot of a driver eating an orange or a panda watching paint dry.  Embarrassed BBC chiefs were apologetic and promised not to show any more drivel, leaving a dark cloud over most of their midweek and Saturday programming schedules
