The FSA (not to be confused with the FSA) put out a statement saying "It wasn't a question of confusion, we decided that we weren't getting very far with the bankers and thought we would use the current situation to raise our profile a bit. We're guessing that millions of people have now heard of the FSA which simply wasn't the case before."

The FSA (not to be confused with the other FSA) responded saying "Indeed the arrangement worked quite well as we'd always wondered what those bankers were really made of - turns out they are very closely related to the great white shark. Sorry must dash I have to go and get the supermarkets to do our job for us so we can concentrate on more intersting things as in fact we have been for the last 2 years.."

A new survey, out today, reveals 87% of the public are confused about the FSA, but not half as much as the FSA.

The findings emerged as the FSA (Financial Services Authority) fined supermarkets £59.34 billion for selling horse-contaminated products, whilst the FSA (Food Standards Agency) is investigating the DNA profile of bankers for traces of horse shit.

To avoid future confusion, Chancellor George Osborne has instructed the FSA (Financial Services Authority) to change its initials to SGBROT (Stop Greedy Bankers Ripping Off Taxpayers).
