Hmm ... an African or a European swallow?

Anyway why hasn't Wayland responded? I reckon he's been alien abducted. Or the aliens have obtained a super-injunction stopping him from telling us the truth about this object and its origins. What have the aliens got to hide? NB says: The People Have A Right To Know.

This 'rock' contains gas cavities. Meteorites don't.

Therefore it's not a meteorite. Its probably not even a rock. Looks like slag/clinker from smelting plant waste.

Not sure how it landed in your garden. Perhaps it was carried by a swallow?

Please Mr Wayland sir - have you submitted your rock for scientific analysis yet? If so, what was the outcome? If not, why not?

Our collective breath is still bated. The suspense is even greater than waiting for the Papal white smoke (I would have said 'waiting for Justin Bieber' but actually I don't think anyone here cares a toss about that particular tedious buffoon).

If we don't hear soon, we will assume that you have been beamed up to the mother ship. Then, I suppose, we will have to await your return to Earth with your tale of alien abduction.

Nah - outside of front door; view of street is just a reflection.

But perhaps this is better - probably a supporter of the Friemds of Green Earthpiece who believes in recycling and is frustrated that their party wimped out of standing at Eastleigh:

Well, I think that we have comprehensively proved that there is nothing in this, just a conspiracy amongst scientists to further their careers - lumps of rock falling out of the sky indeed! Whatever next?

It's OK Wayland - you can come out of your shelter now. The mother ship "DA" has gone on its way, abandoning hope of rescuing poor little Alienbiscuit from your patio. [cue emotional, stirring music]

However this leaves you responsible as he hatches out and grows up. Please keep us imformed.

OK Wayland...this has gone far enough
The joke's over.
Lightning hits the Vatican, Russia devastated by meteor storm, asteroid heading for earth.
I guess the 'little rock on the patio' was just some kind of warning.
What is it?
Is it the WOTM thing?
It's yours....you can have it.
Just call this meteorite shit off before it gets out of hand.
