I have no idea what the issue is with Bob Diamond, however I love the idea and wish I'd thought of it for Tony B-liar.

Thought by many to not even exist, a specialist team at the University of Manchester has been able to image for the first time the elusive moral compass belonging to Bob Diamond.

Measuring just 3 nanometers across, the team took over 6 months to develop the machinery capable of the necessary accuracy.

Dr Robert White, leader of the team, paid tribute to all those involved. "We weren't sure it even existed, but were spurred on by the blind faith of those who employed Bob for so many years. They saw something in him, it was just a question of looking in the right place".

Another member of the team, Josh Hadfield, was quoted as saying "Naturally something so small couldn't possibly work properly, but we had fun looking. Next year we will be searching for Jeffrey Archers sense of honesty and probity".
