Plans to launch the Queen into space have been revealed today by NASA. The space pioneering giants unveiled there plans to launch the Queen into the depths of space in an exciting new mission to see how she will behave in a zero-gravity vacuum.

"This is a very exciting oppurtunity for us here at NASA," said Proffessor Brian Fig, of NASA, "The Queen is to be sent into space so we can study the reactions of members of Monarchy in outer space. We want to test if her reactions will be different to that of ordinary human beings."

The Queen was unavailabe for comment, but a Buckhingham Palace spokesperson revealed that "Her Majesty is very excited about this ground breaking new trip. She is already packing her things as we speak." In the meantime, Prince Charles will take the throne in his mother's abscence, but was seen to be disappointed after aksing a NASA boffin if they had any plans to build a little home on the Moon to put her in. The answer was no.

The Queen will be blasting off in January of 2011 on a mission to Venus, in a specially built Buckhingham Palace shaped craft, designed "to make her feel as at home as possible." There are, however, chances of major drawbacks: The Queen is being forced to sign documents preventing her from talking to any native life forms she encounters on the planets surface. In 2006, when Prince Philip was sent on a 6 month mission to Jupiter, he was kicked off by the native Jupiterians, after he took one look at them and said "Bloody foreigners."
