Players turning up at clubs with an entourage of agents and representatives. Players you’ve never heard of signing up to get £100,000 per week for kicking a football. And the fact that Transfer Deadline Day is marginally more interesting than what happens on the field in most games. Y’know... the diving, the ‘claiming’ of every throw-in and corner, the abuse of referees, the time-wasting, the choreographed goal celebrations, the whole bloody charade. And I’m a sport lover. I can watch just about anything that doesn’t involve horses or cars... but I’m coming to my limit with football. </p> <p>I’m wondering when the fans will wake up from their dreams of ‘glory’ and ‘silverware’, realise how much they’ve paid to watch 22 millionaires running around for 90 minutes, and say “fuck this!”... </p>
