			<description>&#60;p&#62;“Eating meat and being vegetarian should not be mutually exclusive”, said Sally Barnes, on behalf of the Vegetarian Society. “Let’s not get hung up on arbitrary distinctions. We want more people to avail themselves of the benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle - smugness, mostly - without having to make any radical changes to what they actually &#60;em&#62;eat&#60;/em&#62;. And if that means welcoming carnivores into the society, then so be it.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;“We feel there is room within the vegetarian movement for people who eat bacon, fish, seafood, and white meats like chicken and turkey. Maybe the occasional ‘treat’ of red meat too, such as a roast beef dinner on Sunday, or some nice lamb chops during the week. Wave goodbye to the self-denial of nut cutlets. Why keep reminding yourself, with every dreary mouthful, of the meal’s single biggest shortcoming, when you could be tucking into a big, juicy porterhouse steak instead? Don't let hypocrisy and self-delusion stand between you and the lifestyle you crave. And remember, salad isn’t &#60;em&#62;food&#60;/em&#62;. Salad is what food &#60;em&#62;eats&#60;/em&#62;”...
