Shaftesbury has around 100 businesses on the High Street. The vast majority are inependent. OK 5 are charity shops but there are still only 2 empty units which is remarkable. The businesses that have gone have been nationals who are no longer relevant. We just lost one of the shoe shops who sell cheap shoes but gained a little boutique where you can buy a lady's tweed cap for £50.
