GOD YES - Newsflash! The newscasters are not the news!

It drives me nuts when the camera pans to the interviewer nodding sagely when they have nothing to say and the person who does (who is the news) is out of the shot.

...unless it is Cameron/Milliband or similar, who are torture to watch, with their emphatic gestures/gurning to mask a lack of sincerity. Perhaps the BBC could consider scrolling through a gallery of calming pastoral scenes while the voices are carrying on in the background. Then we wouldn't have to look at either.

<rushes off to rant at the walls>

A dog who is obsessed with watching television has apparently deciphered the head-nodding and raised eyebrows code of 24 hour newscasters.

“He barks like a lunatic when Jane Hill is on” said Sparky the Chihuahua owners Mr and Mr Buttercup from Cornwall, “but what really freaks him out is George Alagiah” It’s amazing how he can sense so much just from looking at the telly, but dogs do.
