The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge say they are looking forward to getting their New Year’s Eve celebrations out of the way so that they can make a serious start on their summer holidays.
It is thought this year’s holiday will start sometime on Tuesday, 1st January 2013 and is expected to last around 365 days and will take in lots of warm and sunny places around the world, especially when it’s cold here in the UK
Although the Royal couple are expecting their first baby in July the Duchess said they would treating the birth as no more than a ‘mild irritation’ and would simply give their first born to some Royal lackey to look after while they continued their quest to find the world’s sandiest beach.
But with the rest of the UK already suffering acute morning sickness after seeing their Royal faces gurning from underneath tropical sun shades throughout 2012, this promises to be a long, drawn out kick in the bollocks for hard pressed families and their rapidly emptying pockets.
