Oh well, here goes ...</p> <p>Thanks to everyone, I love you, you're all my best mates, all of you.</p> <p>Some excellent subs including serious punnery this week, kicked off by Bourbon and carried on by Malgor and Psycadelic Squirrel amongst others, good stuff.</p> <p>Credit to Malgor too for the limerick, a much under-used vehicle of comedy in my view, for the sub linked to a real if slightly unbelievable real news story about a tortoise and a sex toy.</p> <p>But my alcohol-affected verdict which I know I'm going to regret in the morning but seems like a good idea right now is ...</p> <p>Honourable mention - weematt with the ticker about sleepless hedgehogs due to global warming - nice angle.</p> <p>3rd place - Button with the Brian Blessed musk article. Rather tenuous link with the Neat-O subject but nicely-written and funny whether you're sober or hammered.</p> <p>Runner-up - Squudge with the idea of Winterlude for the Elderly. Great last line in particular, and rather believable which is always a good sign of decent satire.</p> <p>Winner - Jeni B/Perks for the completely contrived but very funny High Bear Nathan sub. Started well (in a terrible groany kind of way) by Jeni and developed very well by Perks, and a clear winner in my (poisoned) mind, congrats. </p> <p>I'll leave you two to fight over the Neat-O baton while I fall asleep in the armchair for the third Friday running. </p> <p>Night night. </p>
