			<description>&#60;p&#62;They may be the oldest group still standing in the UK, but Salisbury’s Static Stones have proven they can still draw the crowds with a performance that ‘moved the Earth’ for fans at their Winter Solstice gig in Wiltshire this morning.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;‘Ok, they’re getting really old now,’ said Donna Druid from Swindon, ‘but they’ve still somehow got that wow factor.’&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;The Stones, originally from Pembroke, arrived by roller and welcomed the crowd with a thumping rendition of &#60;em&#62;(I Can’t Get No) Glaciation&#60;/em&#62;.  The 3,500-year olds, with erosional angular unconformity etched into their craggy faces, looked majestic as the raking light at sunrise cast their shadows across Salisbury plain.  The set this year included old favourite &#60;em&#62;Heart of Stone&#60;/em&#62; and an abridged version of their 1972 set &#60;em&#62;It’s Only Rock&#60;/em&#62;.
