Absolutely.

... and the bed filling the back of his Range Rover. Hold on ... does Range Rover not also bear some responsibility?

Don't get me wrong, I love the BBC and think as far as its reputation goes a few have stained the many.
I just find that all the focus on a programme that wasn't seems to overlook the much bigger issue. And when you look at the sheer number of victims, I think that greater vigilance by the Beeb would not stopped the problem. He was always going to abuse. That is shown by the children's homes, hospitals, and having his own caravan

Yes indeed. BBC just as guilty as Savile and should be put on the Sex Offender Register.

The BBC has come out and apologised to victims, license fee payers, and any inhabitants of the earth for the failings of Newsnight in the handling of sexual abuse allegations against Jimmy Savile.

After months of investigation the corporation have also accepted findings that had they aired the original report in 2011, then Jimmy Savile would have been unlikely to have committed his crimes in the 70’s and 80’s.

Acting Director General Tim Davie told a press conference ‘we take full responsibility for the actions of a predatory paedophile. He knew back then we would have a editorial balls up, so the door was left open for him. In fact, our actions last year pushed him to touch kids 3 decades ago. We are deeply sorry’.

The report called ‘Let’s look at the withdrawal of one news report and forget the fact that everyone seemed to know at the time and did nothing’ has seen many changes at BBC. However, there are still concerns that a news report to be shelved in 2035 that accuses Stephen Fry of only being good at reading an autocue, means people will continue to be misled into thinking he knows everything.
