After a tourist visit to Bristol's German xmas market, Munich couple Hans and Gerta Schmidt have claimed that its the "best ever".

"We were surprised and enthralled that a city like Bristol could put on such a heartwarming and authentic German market, that far surpasses anything that our homeland could produce. Where else can you buy a tepid, weak and overpriced mulled wine of the calibre that I have just drank from a flimsy plastic glass all for the price of £4.00 a cup" said Gerta.

"The Bristolians have shown us that any old tat can be sold if it's dressed up as a traditional ethnic market, so much so we are taking back the principle of a traditional British market to Munich, where we are hoping that authentic British stall holders will
set out their stalls selling knock off cd's, dvd's and video games, selections of nylon and polyester shirts, blouses and sweaters as well as a man selling 3 cigarette lighters for 1 Euro. We are hoping to bring the domestic cleaning products stall and the 1 Euro or less shops to Munich"

More soon
