It's often lazy just putting an 'i' in front of stuff and calling it comedy but you could perhaps work in something about damage to the i-zone layer.

Have some stars.

You could include terms like "I of the storm"
or, instead of "raining a bit", "it was raining lots of bits"

I've expanded the one liner, anybody else have any thoughts about what else could be included?

Metrologists have today published a damning report that blames recent heavy downfalls of rain in the UK and super storm Sandy in the US on the increased use by the public of Cloud computing.

“We’ve known for months that cloud computing has its inherent risks, and now we can clearly show that by storing thousands of gigabytes of data out in the ether of cloud computing has a direct effect on the worlds weather systems” said Miles Achorn of the MET office.

“Just look back a few weeks, Apple released their new operating system with increase cloud functionality and Amazon launched their cloud functionality with the launch of the Kindle Fire. These two events in conjunction with millions of Americans uploading their online content to the Cloud, led to millions upon millions of negatively charged cloud particles flying around the atmosphere. This resulted in Super storm Sandy. It was literally raining lots of bits” – Mr Achorn went on.

“What we have found particularly worrying is the Amazon cloud, as positive or negative reviews posted around the launch of major movie and album releases has been proved to have direct affects upon weather systems. God help us if a Gary Glitter retrospective is ever released, the storms that would result after that would make Sandy look like splash in a mill pond”

The MET Office is calling for stricter regulations around the use of Cloud Computing, and all devices that use it to be fitted with catalytic converters to lessen the environmental impacts.

More soon
