I only wear that outfit for special occasions - Mr B's birthday and Christmas.

I just wish that teachers were allowed to use some violence these days.

But I bet you didn't arse about in his class. My favourite teacher was ex Army and Police. He was real old school, very strict, but extremely fair. He used to do the same with his "belt", a large half inch thick leather tawse. He only used it once in the three years we had his class, and only because the little shit had it coming to him for a long time. Funnily enough, that same little shit now teaches.
Personally, I hated the sadists in the PE Dept, who had so many implements of torture at their mercy.

See, there was me almost expecting the school to welcome him back, no questions asked, with all of the pupils feeling assured and safe under his 'firm-but-fair' regime.

Or maybe not.

T'was a different world in my day too. Our metalwork teacher, a hulking man in himself, used to have a thick strip of rubber tubing that he dubbed his 'Tommy Tickler'.

He introduced every new class to it at their very first meeting with him, explaining what it was called before bringing it whacking down on a bench with a massive painful-sounding thwack, instilling in us all the firm knowledge that he had used it in anger before, and would dearly love to do so again.

We treated him with much caution.

Back in the 70's / 80's it was considered par for the course to return to return home from school with a major head injury inflicted by a teacher. Never did me any harm, apart from all the time I had to spend in the 90's hunting down my teachers, knocking them out with Chloroform and burying them alive in wooden boxes in remote fields.
