The true life fallout from yesterday's decision by the Church of England not to allow women bishops has begun.
Dawn French is today facing life on the streets after revealing that she had invested everything in secretly producing a new series entitled "The Bishop of Dibley".
Ms French had spent £114 million of her own money in having the series ready to go on BBC2 tonight but her dreams and her life now lie in tatters.
Commenting exclusively to Newsbiscuit this morning French said; "We have 14 episodes produced and the first was due to be broadcast at 8pm tonight on BBC2, replacing Masterchef The Professionals. I mean it had obvious success written all over it, doing everyone the favour of removing Greg Wallace from our screens. Who would have ever thought that a bunch of old men in dresses could scupper it with their decision."
