Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney is reported to spend most of his time sitting at home in a darkened room in front of the television muttering,'Just think, that could have been me out there in Burma posing with Aung San Suu thingy.'

And Romney is believed to be increasingly convinced that hurricane Sandy helped Barack Obama win the election. In which case, he has told erstwhile supporters, 'God ratted on me, big time.'

Meanwhile, Obama has said he was serious when in his victory speech he said he would sit down with Romney to discuss common concerns.

'Of course, the President is rather busy just now,' a White House spokeswoman said, 'visiting Burma and all that, whereas Mr Romney has plenty of time on his hands now and like forever, I guess.'
