<p>A British Gas repair man from Dudley has admitted that attempts to fix gas prices failed after a team of engineers were instructed to provide a false reading in February of 2011.<br />
The whistle-blower known only as 'Three-Sugars Bob' recalled the day when senior management instructed him to carry out the task.<br />
"They made no bones about it. The order was to fix gas prices at some point between the hours of mid-day and 6pm that evening. We felt bad about it at the time but sales were down due to unseasonably good weather and our bonuses relied upon us doing the job"<br />
British Gas denies any wrong-doing stating that it is their duty to abuse the feckless and vulnerable.
