Prince Notbonkers issued a tersely worded statement today claiming he is not bonkers. In addition, he said he “never makes clicking noises while playing Monopoly”, and that “he has never hurt a mongoose” He also emphasised that he ”never intended his wife to be anything” and said that even when he eventually becomes King Notbonkers, she would remain Mrs Princess Notatallbonkers the first, and not sit upon the throne.”

The Prince said “he never wrote any letters telling people what to do” because he has not been allowed a pen, but he readily conceded he did like eggs for tea. The Palace would neither confirm or deny anything anyone said ever, but said the Prince would be continuing tomorrow.
