'Newsnight USA' is all set to take America by storm following successful trials in Britain of the unique TV and radio format. It's taken 32 years to perfect the programme but the BBC thinks they've finally got it just right. The show mixes truth with tittle tattle, then asks the question 'Truth or lies? You decide.' Viewers are encouraged to express their views on social media and the most ill-informed will be given special mention.

Top management are given the opportunity to express their views live on radio. There's £450,000 to collect if they get it right. And £450,000 to collect if they get it wrong.

'Irascible radio anchorman' John Humphrys has been offered $250,000 per show to front Newsnight USA, but has already been shortlisted to take over from Lord Sugar on the Apprentice.

Sugar says he's sick of saying 'You're fired', it must be someone else's turn now.
