Thanks for the nudge Sinnick - that was a bit silly of me.
I had rather ignored my own advice from earlier.
The naughty bit was the best bit. I've taken it out but the sub now hangs on the flimsiest of gags.
All I need now is for a load of Thatcher sympathisers to turn up at NBHQ and I'm totally screwed.

Good article. Nothing wrong with slagging off Wrexham; been there many times, mostly trying to get past it as quickly as possible. Umm, don't get the wrong idea.

[edited]

Just for the record, but a prison officer I know tells me that part of N Wales and a certain NW town are currently the child sex capitals of the region. So the handling of the Jillings report was a success, then.

Conservative peer Lord McAlpine says allegations linking him to a visit to Wrexham during the 1970s are ‘wholly false and defamatory’
The former party treasure claimed that as far as he knew, no Tory peer had ever fallen on times so desperately hard that they would even contemplate setting foot in the N.Wales back-water.
A spokesman for Flintshire Council said an earlier report from 1996 seemed to back Lord McAlpines claim that no Tory in their right mind had ever visited Wrexham but offered a word of caution, saying the child abuse probe did not go deep enough for many Tory faithful and may need a more thorough internal investigation.
Tory peers are no strangers to allegations of sexual misconduct but it seems Lord McAlpine may quite genuinely be the victim of mistaken identity with most media analysts agreeing that it’s pretty unlikely a senior Tory would ever have set foot in a filthy, working class slag heap like Wrexham.
‘Not unless they’re absolutely barking mad’.
http://www.localbygones.co.uk/category/archive/view,t394_1189.htm
Later PM David Cameron was reported to have condemned ITVs Phillip Schofield for pulling ‘a silly stunt’ during an interview earlier in the day.
‘Well, that’s not quite what I said about Schofield’ added Cameron ‘but I think it’s probably near enough’.
