I loved Trump's twitter tirade ... that special combination of passion + stupidity.

Apparentely the religious right were exhorting their followers to pray for a Romney victory. What they instead got was an Obama victory plus some states legalising marijuana and gay marriage. I wonder how they rationalise all that???

Stars. Could perhaps have squeezed in a line about Republican meltdowns on Twitter etc. They seem really angry. Like, crazy angry. Anyone would think the world has ended.

Less than a day after Mitt Romney was defeated by Barack Obama, Republicans have already started the campaign post-mortem. After agreeing that the candidate, policies, and campaign strategy were faultless, the blame was laid entirely at God's door.

Romney strategist Karl Rove pulled no punches: ‘When God is required to do nothing, like standing by and watching a rape victim get impregnated, he excels. But when God is required to do something, like ensure Mitt Romney wins the election, he is asleep at the wheel. He might as well not exist for all the good he is doing at the moment.’

Mr Rove was unable to comment further as he was tragically killed when crushed by an Obama billboard loosened by Hurricane Sandy.
