I like this. It would be better (and more authentic) if instead of Hayley, 23, Darlington – it read Hayley from Darlington (38-22-36). Likewise Gemma from London.

A mate got fed-up with being told off by his feminist mum about the Star’s sexism, so he started buying the Sun because it had fewer tits in it, and just one big one in the proprietor’s chair.

No, The Star and the Sport were two different papers. The Sport was for real investigative journalism which, if memory serves, found a fleet of routemaster buses on the moon. This is the sort of news we've been lacking for the last few years.
However, it's best remembered for the classic headline of "Shoots you sir" about the Versace murder. The bloke who thought that up is now on the BBC NW local news. The name Tony Livesey springs to mind but I might be wrong on that.

I vaguely remember the weekend version of that - fabulous for reading with student mates while blearily having breakfast on a Sunday morning. Was it the Sunday Sport?

fond memories of articles re Lancaster bomber/shopping trolley found on dark side of the moon ....and freak photos like all-over Elephant man - or was I still drunk from the night before?

I don't read 'The Sun' Squudge, and btw don't u have too many "u"s in your name? I can read the Telegraph now, though I don't want to but when I had a busy working life The Star was perfect. You can't loose more than 5 minutes out of your day reading that-(if it's still going)

I'm a bit confused. When you say Hayley, 23, Darlington do you mean her surname's Darlington or her address is 23 Darlington, which wouldn't make a lot of sense either. As for Gemma, 19, London she can fend for herself.
I've always found Darlington to be a lovely sounding town which lives up to its name if you don't look out the window.

In an attempt to show how they feel about the lack of progress made by women's liberation groups, Page 3 models up and down the UK have decided not to wear t-shirt supporting the cause.

Hayley, 23, Darlington told us 'me and a few of the other girls think more should have been done to highlight the blatant sexism that still occurs in the workplace. It's because of the lack of action we have decided not to wear t-shirts that have the phrase 'Let's kick exploitation out of page 3' on our next shoots'.

As well as criticising the campaign, Gemma, 19, London said that the quality of the t-shirts was very poor. 'I spoke to my boss at 'The Sun' and he agreed to let me wear it' she told us. 'He even went and fetched them for me, but every single one had been delivered wet.'
