However fears have been raised as to its safety.</p> <p>Dr Tracey Fisher who helped organise the Winds of Change event said there was a groundswell of support for the action.</p> <p>Fisher said “If this wind were used commercially, what guidelines would prevent the inevitable damage to our communities, umbrellas turned inside out, neatly raked leafs strewn across our gardens, toupees blowing down the street whilst hapless middle aged men look on, their dignity lying in the gutter by their feet. Where will it end?”</p> <p>Surrey police tried handing out leaflets warning against “trespassory assembly”, however this simply fuelled the activists anger as they were blown across the surrounding countryside by a consistent strong breeze.</p> <p>One activist told us “This research must end, and until that time direct action is necessary and we will be heard. We came here today to break wind, and we will continue to break wind until we are listened to.”</p> <p>NEAT-O </p>
