The award winning news channel is appealing for any kind of stories from its viewers however trivial after yesterdays record breaking day of absolutely no news of national importance.

Newscasters were reduced to reading out an endless loop of the ‘5 year old boy kidnapped in Pakistan’ story for five hours yesterday with only occasional breaks to inform us that nothing was going on with the weather either. Heart rending though the story was it surely didn’t warrant the entire staff of a major news organisation’s attention. The only two people who weren’t asked to comment on the case were Osama Bin Laden and TV magician Paul Daniels.

The highlight of the days coverage was surely the newsreader finishing the story with ‘And we’ll let you know of any developments in the case as soon as they happen’, immediately followed by a re-run of the entire story as the main news item.
